去年底在街上遇到超有型的女士在路邊看雜誌，問她是否可以讓我拍照，她超大方地答應了。
這篇想談的是有型的英國人，走在英國街上常常覺得每個路人都是一幅風景，因為英國人實在太會穿衣服，而且每個人都有其風格（不是流行複製人）；英國路人有型是不分城鄉、年齡（Kelly覺得這才是最強的地方），最近適逢大學開學，走在路上全是學生，連大一新生都很像雜誌model（是說我大一時在做什麼？），歐洲城市Kelly去過的不少，有型路人平均質像英國這麼高的不多，而Kelly在英國居住的城市Sheffield也不是什麼大都會，但走在街上常讓我在心中吶喊：「英國人你也有型地太超過！」
Kelly認為英國人的有型原因有二：
//英國人注重表面和平
在英國住久了，會發現英國人與日本人某些地方很像，英國人是很注重表面和平的民族，例如餐廳吃飯覺得服務態度不好（本音），英國人往往不會抱怨，當服務生問：「一切都好嗎？」，他們還會回答：「很棒👍！」（建前）；此外，英國人也是非常守秩序的民族，絕對不會做規範以外的事；如果在工作上有需要與英國人郵件往返，常常會發現英國人表達是含蓄內斂的。
如此注重表面和平的英國人，跟日本人一樣，出門一定會打扮，認為打扮是種基本禮儀，不只是年輕人，走在路上我鮮少看到邋遢的中年人或老年人。
//英國天氣容不下拖鞋背心
今年英國夏天算是很溫暖，以往英國夏天往往平均溫度約為二十度，最熱的時候我還是覺得穿拖鞋要冷死誰？而且夏天又短，即使熱到可以穿拖鞋的日子也不過十幾天吧！我從台灣帶來的涼鞋今年只穿過兩次。
除了平均氣溫低，英國多變的天氣是出名的，常常才出太陽，下一小時就下雨，好在英國大雨也不常見，所以可以擋小雨的風衣、西裝外套（blazer）成了出門最佳選擇，所以一般英國人打扮相對正式。
當然「有型」並不只是建築在外表打扮上，內在深度往往是一個人魅力的關鍵。不過，有機會來英國，別放過隨處可欣賞型男靚女的機會！
I saw a really stylish woman reading a magazine by the street the end of last year. I asked her if I could take a pic of her, and she said "yes" ( really appreciate this! ).
Well, this post is going to talk about " the stylish British". I very often think it is a blessing to see pedestrians on streets in UK because they just dress so well! The important thing is that every pedestrian gets his/ her own style, but not a fashion colon.
Recently it is the beginning of a semester, so you can see lots of students on streets. Even freshmen dress like models!

I think there are 2 reasons why British are so good at dressing:
// British don't want to stick out
British are people who care about others' thoughts a lot. Because of this awareness, they don't want to be the one sticking out and making a scene. Therefore, most British would dress well before going out. Even they just send kids to school, they wouldn't dress too casually. They also think to dress well is a courtesy.
// Weather, weather, weather!
British like to talk about weather because weather changes so fast in UK. The fact that weather is so unpredictable makes British stylish as well. A trench coat or a blazer is the best outfit for the weather here because they are so good for light rain shower, and people look GOOD in them!
In addition, most seasons in UK don't allow you to wear sandals or slippers because it is basically too cold. No wonder people always say British summer is so precious! The cold weather does make people dress relatively formal in UK; thus you can easily see trench coat, boots and hats on street.
Being attractive and stylish is definitely not just based on appearance. However, If one day you come visit UK, don't miss the opportunity to appreciate stylish people on streets! 😍
