我跟老公在Sheffield 最愛的咖啡店叫《Tamper》，是一家標榜紐西蘭咖啡文化的餐廳，紐西蘭人對咖啡的執著世界聞名，幾乎所有的餐廳都是咖啡店，而《Tamper》就是強調以咖啡為中心的餐廳。
我不是咖啡迷，這裡的食物才是我一再造訪的原因，認真覺得他們有世界最好吃的班尼迪克蛋與起司醬薯條（薯條在我心中是繼公館Bungles後吃到最驚豔的），口感絕佳，醬料完美，且餐盤選擇恰到好處！

《Tamper》讓我喜愛的原因還有他的設計，餐廳在上個世紀是銀匠的工廠，隨處可見的紅磚沒有特別修飾，粗獷的建築體與排版精美的菜單有著完美平衡，每次造訪從看菜單開始就很享受。

後記：既然標榜紐西蘭咖啡文化，當然要檢視他們的flat white！老公覺得他們的flat white（台灣翻作白咖啡）很棒！很多咖啡廳Menu上都有flat white，但不是每個店家都能做好flat white的microfoam（幼奶泡）。
Me and hubby's favorite café in Sheffield is Tamper. They are a restaurant who wants to bring the best of New Zealand's café culture here. New Zealander's love for coffee is world famous. It is said that every restaurant in New Zealand sells good coffee. Tamper is exactly a restaurant that coffee takes centre stage.

The main reason I love this place is not its perfect coffee, and it is the FOOD here! I seriously think they have the best Egg Benedict and Kumara Wedges in the world! They make perfect sauce and texture balance for each plate, and I also like their choice of containers. Everything together just makes you feel like heaven!
I also really love Tamper's design. The restaurant was previously a silversmiths. Without any modification, the vaulted ceiling and brick wall show the real personality of the place. The roughness of the building has a perfect balance with the sophisticated menu. It is a blessing to dine there from the moment you look at the beautiful typography on the menu.

Afterword:
Since Tamper emphasized the New Zealander's coffee culture, we must order a flat white. Hubby said their microfoam was his top two (the first one was a café in Sheffield University), but the coffee was definitely the best in Sheffield.
